Published in 2017 by Tundra.

Eddie is an insect who lives behind a blackboard with his family in a fourth-grade classroom in Ferny Creek Elementary School. When his beloved Aunt Min, who fostered his love for books and who taught him to read with books left open after school hours, goes missing on a visit to the school library, Eddie leaves his family to save her. He finds her living on the librarian’s desk, injured and unable to return home. Remaining with her to help find food, Eddie discovers that the librarian, Ms. Laurel, has gone on maternity leave, being replaced by the unkind Ms. Grisch, sister of a school superintendent whose intention it is to close the library and replace it with a standardized testing center.

I like this book because it is super funny and cool and fun. I liked the story because of Eddie trying to save the library from the grischer and he is trying to save aunt min and then Alfie came by to help him and Eddie is the hero. I will rate this book 100 out of 100. my favorite part of the book is when Eddie saved the library.

  10. L.T. Westlake Elementary

I would rate this a 2 out of 5 because it was very repetitive. Another reason I didn’t like this book is the bug reads. he also writes in blueberry juice. What bug can write? I would recommend this book to my grade two teachers. She will literally read any book you give her.

  11. L.T. Westlake Elementary school

I would rate this book 4/5 because I thought it was cool How the characters were bugs and how Eddy has to save his aunt. I didn’t like it when Alfie came to the library because of when he kind of messed everything up by going to the library.

  12. L.T. Westlake Elementary

I think that the book was good because Eddie was a bug that really wanted to go out and explore the school. But when he does, he just about gets squished! Luckily, the person who just about squished Eddie let him explore more of the school. Why was he exploring the school? Eddie was trying to find his auntie Min. When he does, he finds her in the
school Library! After a long couple of days struggling, he finally gets his aunt back home in their classroom, safe and sound.

  15. L.T. Westlake Elementary

Tiny Hero was the best book ever because it had good lines in it. I liked it because the bug got stuck in the vacuum and the bug couldn’t get out of the vacuum.

  16. S.C. Hillhurst School

The Tiny Hero Of Ferny Creek Library is a book all about reading, and how small things can do big things. This book shows multiple parts of text saying how useful reading is (mostly said by Aunt Min). The Tiny Hero Of Ferny Creek Library continues to say how good reading is by saying how important libraries are and how if they are not preserved, books could go extinct. I would recommend this book for grades 4-6 because this book has good high tension moments, but younger people might not be able to understand all of this book.

The book The Tiny Hero is about a bug named Eddie that lives in Room 19 of Ferny Creek Elementary School with his parents, his Aunt Min and his 53 brothers and sisters. Unusually for a bug, he has learned to read. So when Aunt Min disappears in the Library, Eddie bravely sets off to find her. Along the way, there are gigantic big-footed Squishers (humans) who could squish a bug in two seconds flat. When Eddie finally arrives at the Library, he finds his poor aunt injured. Even worse, a nasty plan is afoot to close the Library forever what can Eddie do?
