Book Review – Adventurer’s Guide to Successful Escapes

From dragons, to healing fireballs to robots with yellow eyes. A crazy adventure to lead you into successful escapes. Anne, a young girl at St. Lupines orphanage, gets pulled into a series of dragons, drama, and danger. She is forced into a level 13 quest where she will either succeed or die. Her teammates are her best friend Penelope and a new friend Hiro. Will they succeed in escaping the dead tier or infinite tower?

I thought this story was spectacular. The author, Wade Albert White, wrote the characters with very different personalities but together they make a terrific team. When Hiro accidentally exploded the academy, Anne and Penelope were there for him and supported him. White created a story that was very creative, original, and interesting. Who knew that dragons could not only breathe fireballs to kill but also ones that transported people and healed people! I found the little short fictional, nonfiction parts between chapters very amusing. It added to the fun and humorous adventure. My favorite one is, “The adventurer’s guide to Mortal Kombat says the following about getting stabbed by a member of your own party: Eh, it happens.”

If you like humorous, dangerous adventure books, then this is the book for you! On the other hand, if you don’t – maybe go look in the nonfiction section. You will quite enjoy getting to know Anne, Penelope and Hiro and watch them work together as a team to fight the quest’s protagonist….and all the dangers that come with a level 13 quest. Page after page, White keeps your interest and coming back for more. Make a successful escape with this book today!

Anvil (otherwise known as Anne) has attended ST. Lupin’s orphanage for for 13 miserable chore filled years. She has one good friend named Penelope who is fearless and loyal and has stuck and will stick with Anne for always. Her matron is an exceeding cruel woman with a lot of secrets. On her 13th birthday, Anne’s life changed. Join Anne and Penelope as they journey through the tiers, make friends, attend a quest academy, and maybe sorta almost get eaten by zombie sharks. This is an exiting, humorous adventure in an fascinating alternate dimension. It is a longer book, so I recommend this book to people with a good attention span. I hope you read this Rocky Mountain book Award 2019 nominee.
